Ketu South MP, Fifi Kwetey has donated some medical equipment and hygiene materials to the Ketu South Municipal Health Directorate.
These items consisted of 2-infrared thermometers, 10 gallons of detergents, 40 cartons of gloves, 35 Veronica buckets as well as 200 millimetres of hand sanitizers.
This gesture forms part of his contribution the national fight against Covid-19.
Constituency Chairman for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Bright Kumordzie presented the items on his behalf at a short ceremony.
“We are making this donation so that no misfortune due to the lack of these material will befall us,” he said.
Mr Kumordzie thanked the MP's staff and lauded NDC’s commitment to the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic which has claimed lives of many.
Municipal Health Director for Ketu, Joseph Degle, received the items and promised that they would be put to good use.
“These items have arrived at the right time and will go a long way to help us deal with the disease,” he said.
He revealed that the directorate is controlling 46 people who are currently in mandatory quarantine after being in contact with people who have tested positive.
