Yoni Kulendi says his relationship with President Akufo-Addo would not affect his work as a Supreme Court judge should he be approved by Parliament.
The private legal practitioner -- who once worked in the law firm of the president -- says his work would be guided by the judicial oath.
Touting his credibility before the Parliament's Appointments Committee Tuesday, Kulendi said he is of high and uncompromising moral standing.
“If you have ever deal with me in consideration of right and wrong, you may not like me because I tend to see black as black white and as white,” he said.
He said his role in the apex court would be to play a referee and, therefore, his professional or private relationships would not hinder that.
His oath, he said would be “to do right to all manner of men” and that he follow holistically.
Kulendi said should he be approved by the House, he would weigh, as demanded, his conflict -- if any -- in any case before sitting on it.
Should there be conflict, the nominee said judges would advise himself accordingly.
