Ghana Women's Premier League Committee chairperson Hillary Boateng is sad after learning that a promising female footballer has been impregnated during the lockdown to contain the novel coronavirus.
Government imposed a ban on all public gatherings, including sporting activities thereby forcing the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to suspend the football season in March.
The women's Premier League and FA Cup competitions are among the championships to have been affected by the decision.

“I felt so sad when I was told one of my girls has been impregnated during the lockdown period...she is a player who is very good and has a promising, career so its very worrying," Mrs Boateng told Adom FM.
"I will plead with my female footballers not to allow themselves to be used and dumped."
It has been two months since football activities were suspended.
GFA has tabled a proposal to government to ease the restrictions on its events to enable the resumption of football activities.
Government is yet to respond to the proposal, however, the Association is expected to make a decision whether to cancel or continue the season on June 30.
