Highly Spiritual signee Mr Drew has apologised to Nigerian/American artiste Rotimi.
This comes after he was accused of stealing the Rotimi’s song 'Love Riddim' and subsequently had his song taken off all streaming platforms including YouTube.
According to him, it was a mistake to not wait for the right response from the Love Riddim singer before releasing 'Eat' which featured Stonebwoy.
"I want to say sorry for that and i want to apologise generally to the whole of Ghana," he said on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM.
Mr Drew told Andy Dosty on the show that he takes full responsibility for everything that went wrong right from seeking permission to publishing.
However he insists that he did not steal the song. He maintained that 'Eat' was a cover of Love Riddim and not a remake nor did he have the intention to infringe on someone's right.
On Sunday, May 31, Mr Drew's record label highly spiritual released a press statement saying that they were fixing the problem.
The statement signed by Kaywa said that there was a miscommunication between their label and Rotimi's which is being sorted out.
