The Ashanti Regional Health Directorate has paid a glowing tribute to the late Medical Director of the Kwadaso SDA Hospital, Dr Harry Owusu Boateng.
He died over the weekend of Covid-19 with underlying health conditions.
Dr Emmanuel Tinkorang, the Regional Director of GHS, eulogised the late physician describing him as "hardworking doctor."
Until his death, Dr Owusu Boateng was a Senior Paediatrician Specialist with over seven-years experience at the Kwadaso SDA Hospital.
The doctor who had been sick for some time was found motionless in his room in the early hours of Saturday.
Dr Owusu Boateng was later found to have been infected with Covid-19.

Mourning one of the country's exemplary doctors, the Ashanti Regional Health Directorate said the death of Dr Owusu Boateng means health workers, in general, "must do more to save lives."
"We believe that we have to continue to work hard so as to prevent infections; so as to prevent lives," he said.
"We take this opportunity to express our sincere condolences to the family and the Adventist Health Services for the loss and also to Ghana Health Services and the Ministry of Health.
Dr Owusu Boateng, a former student at the KNUST Medical School, was given a private burial on Wednesday in Kumasi under strict Covid-19 preventive protocols.
Meanwhile, Health workers in the Ashanti region have begun tracing patients believed to have come into contact with the late Medical Director.
Authorities are relying on records of the patients made available by the management of the hospital to reach some of them and test them.
Over 200 workers at the Kwadaso SDA Hospital have been tested for Covid-19 and are awaiting their results.
