Asokore Mampong Municipal Chief Executive, Alidu Seidu, says he will hold Asawase MP, Muntaka Mubarak, responsible for any disruption of the voter registration exercise in the area.
It follows a warning by the MP of fierce resistance to alleged grand scheme by the governing NPP to bus non-residents into Asawase to register.
Alhaji Seidu denies the allegation and describes Alhaji Mubarak as a liar.
“Muntaka is a liar. The allegations are not true. Where did he get the so-called intelligence from? He should bring evidence that we have bused people to registration centres.
“If anything happens to anyone at Asawase, we will hold you [Muntaka] responsible. I am the MCE of Asokore-Mampong and the peace and security of this Municipality is under my care and I will not allow him.”
