This week, infrastructure records of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) and opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) were up for debate.
This follows Vice President Dr Mahamadu Bawumia’s presentation of the party’s projects initiated since 2017.
Government says it has done better in that regard compared to the erstwhile NDC administration but John Mahama did not take it lying as he calls for an open debate.
The NPP turned down the request- at least for now.
Also, the row between Ghana and Nigerian retail traders continued as the Nigerians asked for ECOWAS' intervention.
Ghana’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey said Ghana will continue to protect its retail space.
Meanwhile, the West African Examination Council was questioned about the leakage of some papers of the ongoing WASSCE.
Even though the examination body has described the leaked papers as fake, the minority in parliament wants the examinations canceled.
The Ghana National Association of Teachers says an outright cancellation is not the solution.
The Minority in Parliament is demanding answers from the Ministry of Finance on how much it has paid to transaction advisors working on the controversial Agyapa Royalties Limited deal with government.
Trade Minister Alan Kyeremanteng says the Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) which was commissioned in Accra this week, will boost intra-African trade as well as improve economies of scale through an integrated market, placing Africa on a path to exporting value-added products.
On a somber note, The Multimedia Group bade farewell to one of its longest-serving News Editors, Saaed Ali Yakub.
