The Season 2 of McDan Entrepreneurship Challenge has been launched.
Chief Executive of McDan Group, Dr. Daniel McKorley hinting the winner pick will be measured by “innovation, character and the urge to win”.
“In the second season the contestants are very serious and committed. It’s been very competitive this season. Covid has brought the best in entrepreneurs. The innovation that went through during the lockdown especially is enough grounds for commendation”.
The 4-week long contest has so far numbered over 16,000 participants. The reality television show will see the ultimate winner walk away with funding and mentoring support of up to $100,000.

Applications close on February, 28 2020. There is no age limit for applicants.
Background
Business mogul Dr. Daniel McKorley, Executive Chairman of McDan Group and McDan Foundation, is investing over $100,000 to support young, enterprising people with bankable ideas to create jobs, deepen entrepreneurship culture and produce more successful entrepreneurs (millionaires) in the country.
Youth unemployment remains the biggest national security threat to our dear country and the McDan Entrepreneurship Challenge is a strategic platform for empowering the youth to overcome this danger with funding and mentorship to create not only their own jobs but expand the economy for wealth creation.
The reality TV show will be aired on selected TV stations across the country over a 13 - week period. This will make it possible for members of the public to participate and learn some entrepreneurial skills for their own use.
The McDan Entrepreneurship Challenge is being organised by TEN Ghana, an organisation that promotes the “create your own job” spirit among young people in the country.
Partner institutions include the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Plan (NEIP), Ministry of Business Development, and Active Media.
