With the nation's general elections some 18 days away, the topic of corruption is being amplified in conversations and debates.
This was prompted by a series of events in the past week.
After the Corruption Risk Assessment report on the controversial Agyapa Mineral Royalties deal by the former Special Prosecutor (SP), Martin Amidu.
The deal was stained with suspected bid rigging according to Mr. Amidu who resigned on November 16.
He cited interference from the executive and threats due to his anti-corruption investigations.
The former SP was also investigating the Director-General of the Ghana Lottery Authority, Kofi Osei-Ameyaw who has been in the news for breaking procurement laws and overseeing several infractions.
The issue of corruption has overshadowed debates on infrastructure and other concerns with some social commentators saying Martin Amidu's resignation will affect the fate of the current government.
