NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Ayawaso West Wuoguon, John Dumelo has requested for a recount of votes in the constituency.
The actor in a tweet said he has "officially written to the District Electoral officer to request for a recount across the constituency due to several irregularities."

This comes hours after the incumbent MP, Lydia Alhassan was declared the winner of the 2020 parliamentary elections.
Lydia Alhassan won with 39,851 votes against 37,778 votes garnered by the NDC's John Dumelo.
However, in a statement sighted by JoyNews, Mr. Dumelo has indicated that he is unsatisfied with the outcome of the elections.
He alleges that "one of such irregularities was swapping of my figures and that of the NPP Candidate's figures at polling centers."
