General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) Pastor Mensa Otabil has acknowledged that 2020 came with its own twist and turns.
Pastor Mensa Otabil said the challenges, however, could not keep the children of God down forever, since Christ died to empower the world to overcome every challenge.
"2020 hard-pressed us on every side, yet we were not crushed. [In] 2020, we were perplexed, but not depressed.
"We were persecuted but not forsaken, were struck down but we bounced back because Jesus Christ died and he died for all our infirmities and all our weaknesses," he said.
The Pastor made the comment on Sunday, during a sermon titled "Christ, our life-giver.'
During the sermon, Pastor Otabil urged every believer to identify with the death of Christ since "the victory of every believer is in his death."
"When we identify with the death of Christ, we manifest his life in our bodies," he said.
"[So] Never underestimate the power of the crucifixion of Christ because it is in there that we have our victory," he added.
