As a way of giving back to society, First Sky Group has sponsored the medical treatment of several Ghanaians who fall victim to kidney-related infections at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.

From the year 2016 till date, the institution has extended a hand of support with an amount of GHC15,000,000 to patients in the Dialysis Unit at the Accra-based Teaching Hospital.

Speaking at the institution’s 18th Annual Thanksgiving Anniversary, Chairman and Founder of First Sky Group, Eric Seddy Kutortse revealed that it is the group’s sole desire to keep assisting the needy and less privileged.

According to him, the company plans to fund the establishment of a Kidney Transplant center in Korle-Bu, a first of its kind in the West Africa sub-region to cater for patients with kidney failures whose only option now is to fly to India or South Africa for such treatment.

“We pray that God makes this life saving intervention a reality,” he stated.

Mr Eric Seddy Kutorse gave the assurance that the company will also continue with several corporate social responsibilities it started in 2020 before the interruption of the Covid-19 pandemic.

He used the opportunity to express gratitude to the executives and staff of First Sky Group and the Almighty God for the immense success chalked in the previous year that translated into the birth of six (6) new subsidiaries. He reinstated that by the grace of God the Group reached another major milestone, when one of its subsidiaries, Serene Insurance Company Limited, was fully capitalized, one clear year well ahead of the deadline set by the National Insurance Commission for Insurance Companies in Ghana to meet its minimum capital of fifty million Ghana Cedis (GHC 50,000,000).

“We are resolved to see ourselves not just as a business but a tool in the hands of God for the upliftment of humanity and bringing hope where darkness prevails,” he stated.

Also, speaking at the event was the General Overseer of Action Chapel International, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams who was the guest of honour.
He commended the leadership of First Sky Group for dedicating a day annually to hold a thanksgiving service to show gratitude and recognition to God.

The Archbishop also admonished other business institutions to give back to society and emulate the good example by hosting similar events.
In attendance at the 18th annual thanksgiving service was Supreme Court Judge, Justice Jones Victor Mawulorm Dotse, immediate past chairman of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Prof. Opoku Onyinah among other members of the clergy.
