Hundreds of supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) from across the Volta Region took to the streets to protest against the re-nomination of Dr Archibald Letsa as Volta Regional Minister-designate.

The demonstration was organised by Volta NPP Grassroots for Justice.

The group fears the continuous stay of the former Regional Minister would deepen the cracks within the party.

They argue that since he failed to support the growth of the party in the Region and left them demoralised at the end of his tenure there is no need reappointing him.
