Singer, Jacqueline Acheampong, known in showbiz circles as Gyakie has shared with her audience what her biggest dream is.
In an interview with Mamavi Owusu-Aboagye on the AM Show, the daughter of highlife legend, Nana Acheampong revealed she wants to fill the biggest auditorium.
After a performance that wowed viewers on the show Friday, Gyakie explained her aim is to do more than her legendary father did while in active music.
She also explained to Mamavi Owusu-Aboagye why her name starts with a 'Gy' instead of 'J'.
"If you know the Akan alphabets, you'd realise that Gy has the same pronunciation as 'J'. So I chose that for my stage name to depict where I'm coming from."
The final year student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) released her SEED EP in August 2020 and songs from that mini-album have already topped charts across the globe.
