At the onset of the 7th Parliament of Ghana's 4th republic, governance experts touted this House to be one of the most objectives yet.
This stemmed from the nearly equal number of Parliamentary seats between the ruling NPP (138 including independent candidate) and the opposition NDC (137).
As historic as it may seem, some significant decisions have been taken including the Ministerial vetting and the approval of the 2021 budget, both going the way of the government.
These developments have begun to raise questions about the essence of the hung Parliament and whether the advantages foreseen ahead of the convening of this Parliament will actually materialise.
On PM: Express tonight, Evans Mensah together with his panellists will focus on the eluding benefits of a hung Parliament.

Guests for the discussion are Deputy Majority Leader and Member of Parliament for Effutu, Alexander K. Afenyo-Markin and Member of Parliament for Bawku Central, Mahama Ayariga.
