Nestle Ghana, a global food and beverage producers under its partnership with the Ghana Red Cross Society has commissioned a potable water project for the people of Amanhyia in the Suhum Municipality of the Eastern Region.
The initiative which started 5 years ago under the Ghana Water, Sanitation and Hygiene project is to give members of the community easy access to safe drinking water.
The community members thanked the management of Nestle Ghana and Ghana Red Cross Society the support.
On her part, the Suhum Municipal Health Promoter, Josephine Karikari commended them for the gesture, which according to her will help promote hygiene and improve healthy living in the community.
She appealed to the community leaders to put in place a mechanism to ensure the proper maintenance of the facility.
