The Bibiani Ahwiaso Bekwai MP, Alfred Obeng Boateng, has been honoured with 'Star' of the Western North Region by the Western North Grassroots Agenda (WENGA), a New Patriotic Party (NPP) youth group.
It said, the Bibiani Ahwiaso Bekwai Constituency lawmaker, has immensely contributed to the development of the Constituency, hence transforming the livelihood of the constituents.
The leaders of the group said this when they presented a citation to honour Alfred Obeng Boateng at Parliament House for the support given to the people in his Constituency and the Western North region as a whole.

Presenting the citation, the Convener of WENGA, Isaac Amanor, enumerated some contributions from the lawmaker to the people of the Western North region.
This included the construction of ultramodern library, an ICT centre at Subiri Nkwanta and Ahwiaso and the construction of a Kindergarten block at Kwaaso.
He stated that the MP donated three Nissan pickups at the cost of ¢530,000 to the Ghana Police Service in the region and a generator plant at the cost of ¢170,000 to Bibiani Government Hospital.
"Also, he initiated Project 100, the project was aimed at training 100 young people on how to operate heavy-duty machines and equipment. Example, excavators, ADT machines and many more. ¢300 was paid to the beneficiaries per month as a pocket allowance for a period of 6months.
Mr Alfred Obeng Boateng donated a pick-up truck at the cost of $35,000 to support the creation of the Western North Region", Mr Amanor stated.

He noted that Mr Obeng Boateng begun the construction of 25 mechanised boreholes in the Bibiani Ahwiaso Bekwai Constituency and now 10 of them have been completed and commissioned.
He stated that the MP started the construction, some few months after he was sworn in as the MP for the Bibiani Ahwiaso Bekwai Constituency.
Mr Amanor, further pointed out that the Bibiani Ahwiaso Bekwai Constituency MP, has just lunched operation 500 entrepreneur in his constituency aimed at training and raising 500 entrepreneurs each year in his constituency
He, therefore, urged the MP to further do more for the Constituency and the Western North region to transform the area.
The MP on the other hand pledged to continue with the implementation of policies that would impact positively on the lives of the constituents as he indicate he is started the training entrepreneurs within the constituency.
