The Ningo-Prampram MP, Sam George, has waded into the call by some Ghanaians for government to 'FixTheCountry.'
Contributing to the discussion on JoyNews' AM Show Thursday, the former presidential staffer said the country is in a precarious situation with "all the markings of a failed state."
According to him, it was actually surprising, even to academics, that the country hasn't failed yet.
His comment follows a social media campaign which has gathered momentum over the last week.
Social media, as well as print, radio and television, have been awash with stories highlighting the concerns being raised by some disgruntled Ghanaians. The concerns relate to the lack of development in many aspects of life in the country.
However, some people have criticised those who are calling for the country to be fixed. They want the government's detractors to fix themselves first.
