The overlord of Mamprugu and president of the North East Regional House of Chiefs, Nayiri Naa Bohagu Mahami Sheriga, has, for the second time, requested President Nana Akuffo Addo to retool the police in the region.
According to him, the provision of logistics such as vehicles and personnel would help the police adequately and effectively fight crime and maintain law and order in the region.
The Nayiri also appealed to the President to intervene to complete many infrastructure projects that have been delayed or left abandoned across the region.
Naa Bohaga was speaking at his palace in Nalerigu, where the President paid him a courtesy call as part of his two-day working visit to the region.
