A renowned Ghanaian-American plastic surgeon, noted for his philanthropic reconstructive surgeries for deprived people, is challenging the rich and powerful in Ghana to contribute towards building a first-class hospital in the country.
Dr Michael Kwame Obeng says it is unthinkable for the elite in society to be seeking expert medical services abroad when they can pool resources to build an international standard facility that will attract medical expertise from around the world.
The Harvard-trained surgeon recently received the International Man of the Year 2021 award in the United States.
