Hip-Hop artiste, Yaw Tog says collaborating with UK-based rapper Stormzy gave both of them some popularity in the Ghanaian music market.
According to him, some people in the country did not know the ‘Own It’ hitmaker like other international acts.
However, after their collaboration with Kwesi Arthur that birthed the ‘Sore’ remix, a lot more people got to know who the UK-based Ghanaian rapper, Stormzy, was.
“I will say, he made me more popular in this market and I made him more popular here too because people didn't know Stormzy in Ghana here,” he said in an interview on TV3.
Yaw Tog insists the collaboration brought some “magic” to them and their brand.

The fast-rising Ghanaian drill musician finally released the remix to his hit song, ‘Sore’ in March 2021.
The much-anticipated remix came along with features from UK’s Stormzy and fellow Ghanaian rapper Kwesi Arthur.
It came at a time when the original song released in late 2020 had already hit 2 million views on YouTube, a huge milestone for the Asakaa scene.
The single also made it onto Yaw Tog’s EP, Time, released later in the month.
