A non-profit media training organisation, iJourno Africa has engaged media practitioners including student journalists in its second edition of the data journalism training.
The exercise took place at the Department of Communication Studies on the University of Ghana on Saturday, July 10 in collaboration with the Legon-based Radio Univers.

Twenty-five applicants were selected to participate in the programme geared towards developing storytelling skills by employing the right data visualisation tools.
Resource persons who were invited for the workshop included the General Manager of Citi FM, Bernard Avle, Citi FM Digital Media Designer Yaw Antwi Owusu, and the Coordinator for iJourno Africa, Jonas Nyabor.

At the end of the workshop, participants expressed gratitude to iJourno Africa for providing them with the opportunity to enhance their skills in data journalism and analysis.
“I want to thank the organizers for this, it was really impactful and I learnt a lot,” one of the participants said.
