The National Democratic Congress (NDC) today, Tuesday held a press briefing at its party headquarters.
The briefing, was moderated by General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, to address the allegations levelled against Chief Justice Kwesi Anin-Yeboah by a Kumasi-based Lawyer, Akwasi Afrifa, indicating that Mr Anin-Yeboah demanded a $5million bribe to influence a case pending before the Supreme Court.
In a letter to the Inspector General of Police, the Chief Justice has denied receiving the said amount. He has also denied knowing Akwasi Afrifa. He, therefore, requested that the Director-General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service investigate the matter.
