Motorists who ply the Tesano-Alajo road can now move freely on the stretch on any rainy day without suffering the delay caused by flooding.
This is because officials of the Urban Roads Department and the Assemblyman of the area, deployed a team of workers to desilt the gutters along the stretch.
Some pedestrians and motorists advised that the desilting exercise should be done regularly to prevent the gutters from getting choked.
Motorists on the Tesano- Alajo stretch have for years been complaining about the persistent flooding on the road.
The stretch gets flooded each time it rains, forcing motorists to carefully manoeuvre through one out of three lanes on the road.
Following a downpour on Thursday, many road users got frustrated about the situation and called on the government to fix it as soon as possible.
