The outgoing MCE for Krachi West, Osei Nti Douglas has said that the decision by the President to nominate a new person to take over from him is in the right direction.
According to Mr Osei Nti Douglas, who was speaking with JoyNews in Krachi, the nomination of Emmanuel Jalula is actually a blessing.
"During the last year campaign, my friend and I were in the same group and that is why I said that the President had a vision that the way my friend and I are close, my friend can continue from where I stopped, " Mr Osei Nti Douglas said
Mr Osei Nti Douglas stressed that the nomination of Emmanuel Jalula is indeed a blessing and in order to continue from where he stopped, there is the need for total endorsement from the assembly members.
He noted that rejection of the President's nominee will cost the Krachi West because time is gone in terms of development and the President can still nominate him again if he is rejected.
"It is important to endorse my friend so he continues the good works be. Why do we go for nomination and he doesn't get it? It will cost the district and we will have to wait for the President to even nominate him again and we use one-touch for development," Mr Osei said
He said the aim is development for Krachi West and not individual benefits hence the need to massively give the nominee the endorsement
Mr Osei Nti Douglas however made a passionate appeal to the assembly members to give Mr Jalula the chance to help stir the affairs of the Municipality.
Party supporters and some residents who spoke with JoyNews also commended the outgoing MCE for the great work, his affable nature and hopeful lifestyle.
"Mr Osei Nti is a good man and hardworking too and we pray that Jalula is given a 100% endorsement so he can continue from where he stopped, " Mark Takasi, a member of the party said.
