Takoradi Senior High School has defeated Archbishop Porter Girls SHS and Bompeh SHS to make it to the one eighth stage of the National Science and Maths quiz with 60 points.
Archbishop Porter Girls SHS who were the zonal champions last year, had to hand over the trophy to Takoradi SHS as they scored 49pts making them second in this year’s preliminary contest in the Western Region.
The problem of the day saw both Takoradi SHS and Archbishop Porter Girls SHS winning the Prudential Life NSMQ star award as they both scored 10points. The schools each received GHC2000.
The winners, Takoradi SHS also won the AirtelTigo higher score award for being the school with the highest score for the day at the contest.
They were awarded GHC1000.

Bompeh SHS came in third after managing to secure 15pts at the end of the contest.
Takoradi SHS will make it to Kumasi where the boys will compete with other schools for the prestigious NSMQ award and the bragging rights.
