The Minister for Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum has implored stakeholders in the education sector to renew their efforts towards the transformation of Ghana's education for socio-economic development.
He said, the New Year presents another opportunity to strive for excellence and innovation to consolidate the gains made in the last five years.
In a goodwill Christmas message posted on his social media handles, the Minister acknowledged the role of staff, teachers, students, development partners, and the media in shaping the future of the country.
"On behalf of the Ministry of Education, I wish to thank all my staff, teachers, students, development partners, the media, and all stakeholders for your support, dedication, commitment and valuable contributions in shaping the future of our dear country," part of the message read.
He said, Christmas is a beautiful season of love, hope, and joy which must be celebrated with compassion and togetherness.
"Have a Merry Christmas and a wonderful holiday season with your friends and family, and let’s get ready for the New Year ahead with innovations in the education sector for socio-economic transformation," the message concluded
