Ghana's Covid-19 death toll currently stands at 1,442, according to the Ghana Health Service (GHS).
The deaths recorded so far is as of February 23, 2022. In its latest update, the GHS noted that the country is battling with 667 active cases.
The Kotoka International Airport (KIA) and seven out of the 16 regions have recorded active cases.
Also, as of February 23, a total number of 85 individuals had contracted the coronavirus disease. These cases were recorded in the Greater Accra and Eastern regions as well as the KIA.

Out of these cases, four are considered severe while one critical case has been recorded.
Since the emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic in March 2020, the Ghana Health Service has confirmed a total of 159,891 cases.
Meanwhile, 157,782 individuals who recovered from the virus have been discharged from the various health centres.
