Rapper, Yaw Tog has revealed his mother is now on the same page with him in the music cycle and they are going with the flow smoothly.
He made this revelation in an exclusive interview on the Prime Morning show on Friday.
“My mum used to tell me to concentrate on school but when the money started coming she is now okay with it and we flow together”. He stated
Speaking in relation to the video of his new single ‘Sei Mu’ which featured ladies dancing and winding around him, he explained to Jay Foley that his mother has seen the video and she is cool with it because she understands showbiz now.
“Actually she has seen the music video and she is cool with it and we move on. This is because she understands music now,” he added.
Thorsten Owusu Gyimah popularly known as Yaw Tog is a Ghanaian rapper who majors in drill music known in Ghana as Asakaa.
He came into the limelight with his viral song 'Sore' which featured O`Kenneth, City Boy, Reggie & Jay Bahd and also Kwesi Arthur and Stormzy on the remix whiles in Senior High School.
When asked about combining school and celebrity lifestyle, the ‘Sore’ hitmaker said it was cool for him to combine school and music because he acted like a normal student though he had to study hard to pass his WASSCE Exams in 2021.
He further hinted at continuing to the University but still with what school and course to choose since he doesn’t want such pressure he encounters in SHS again.
“It was cool for me because I acted like a normal student, I didn’t show anything like a ‘star’ but just normal vibes with the friends.”
