The Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, on Wednesday interacted with some 10 teachers posted to hard-to-reach villages in his constituency.
The said teachers who are currently on vacation shared with Mr. Ablakwa what he could do to improve the conditions of teachers.
In response, the North Tongu MP assured them of his office’s commitment to embark on more interventions to improve teaching and learning.
In a Facebook post, the MP also disclosed that each of the teachers was provided with a Samsung Galaxy tablets.
According to the MP, this is due to their commendable efforts.
Mr Ablakwa also praised all workers in the North Tongu education space for the latest performance statistics which shows consistent remarkable improvement.
He noted that “our least performing school in the BECE posted 71% compared to a low of 22% before I assumed office as MP.”
