A 56-year-old fisherman who resides at Saltpond-Ankadul in the Central Region has been found dead at his residence.
It is reported that the man popularly known as Uncle Bobola committed suicide.
He was found hanging from the roof of his room on Sunday, April 24, at 5:30pm.
Speaking to AdomNews, the Assemblymember for Saltpond-Ankaful Electoral Area, Anthony Eshun, said residents assumed Uncle Bobola was missing.
They therefore embarked on a search around the community before moving to his home. When neighbors got to his residence, they found his gate locked.
According to the Assemblymember, they broke the locks and found Uncle Bobola hanging from the roof of his house.
Family and friends of the deceased who were at the scene broke down in tears.
Meanwhile, the remains of the deceased has been deposited at Saltpond mortuary.
