Lincoln Community School has outdoored a $13 million dollar state-of-the-art teaching and learning facility as part of efforts to complement linkages between academia and industry.
Opening the facility, minister for Education, Dr. Yaw Adutwum charged players in Ghana’s education ecosystem to prioritise linking education to academia in all innovative interventions.
“Education is evolving to meet current socio-economic demands and I believe that’s the unique complement of Lincoln Community School. We need to have students graduating with the capacity to not just solve industry problems but also contribute to national development,” he stated.
Head of School, Lesley Tait in thanking government and the school’s stakeholders for their support, “assured of cutting edge solutions to socioeconomic challenges facing Ghana and the rest of the world.”
Speaking to Joy Business, board president of Lincoln Community School, Olusola Ogundimu says; “the school's module continues to inspire industry-based academic curricula across the country.”
The 13 million dollar state-of-the-art new building was intentionally designed to provide learning spaces that best represent what the school believes about high-quality teaching and learning. Planning is currently underway for the commencement of the second phase of redevelopment, which will
include middle and high school classrooms.
