This is the only way customers or the public can continue to repose confident in the profession.
President and Chair of the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (AICPA), Paul Ash made the call at a breakfast meeting hosted by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) in Accra.
This is party of Paul Ash’s five-day tour of Africa to build relationships with members and students in Africa and also understand problems that confront members in Africa.

“It is essential that our profession continues to uphold the highest ethical standards that will enable organisations to do business responsibly” Mr. Ash stressed.
As part of efforts to help members in this regard, he said the Association has launched an online ethics decision tool designed to help accountant professionals make ethically sound decisions in tough situations
“The public depends on you to act in their interest and sound ethics is part of it” he added.
