The 2022/23 English Premier League (EPL) season commences on Friday, August 5, after a 74-day break.
With quite a busy summer and lots of transfer activities happening, the new season looks to be an exciting one for all clubs and players.
With the World Cup not far away, here is a preview of the Premier League season for Ghanaian players as well as the soon-to-debut Black Stars players.
- Thomas Partey - Arsenal
Since making the switch to the North London side, injuries have limited the performance of the Black Stars vice-captain over the last two seasons. However, Partey, who has had a great pre-season ahead of the upcoming campaign will look to win back the hearts of Arsenal fans as they chase a return to Champions League football.

Partey featured 24 times in the league last season and scored two goals while also providing one assist. He will hope for a better season, starting on Friday when his side takes on Crystal Palace.
- Jordan Ayew - Crystal Palace
Jordan Ayew has a big season ahead for him not just for the club only but also with the fact that his place in the national team could come under serious threat following the availability of Inaki Williams for the Black Stars.

Jordan, despite being presented with several opportunities failed to sparkle for the Eagles. He found the back of the net three times and assisted three in 31 games for Patrick Vieira's team. Palace's first game of the season will be at home against Arsenal.
- Jeffrey Schlupp - Crystal Palace
Since the appointment of Vieira, Schlupp has been an important figure in Palace's team. The versatile midfielder started 20 games and made 12 substitute appearances as the Eagles secured a 12th-place finish.

Though yet to play under Otto Addo, Schlupp's time with the national is not yet over and his performances this season could earn him a spot ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
- Daniel Amartey - Leicester City
In the 2021/22 season, Daniel Amartey made 28 league appearances for the Foxes contributing to five clean sheets.

The 27-year-old was a solid pillar for Brendan Rodgers and despite being linked with a move away from the King Power Stadium, Amartey looks increasingly likely to be with the club. He will look to put in a much better performance this campaign as compared to last season.
- Tariq Lamptey - Brighton & Hove Albion
For someone like Tariq Lamptey, the 2022/23 season is a big one for him after overcoming his injury fears. The attacking-minded full-back after recovering from a long injury layoff was gradually eased into the team by Graham Potter last season.

Lamptey made 16 starts of 30 appearances in the top flight during the 2021/22 season and was directly involved in two goals.
With his nationality switch completed and the player ready to play for Ghana, the 21-year-old will look to get back to his best and deliver consistent performances for the Seagulls in the Premier League.
- Mohammed Salisu - Southampton
Last season was a breakout season for the high-flying defender and the 2022/23 season could be a season that could earn him a top move next summer should he replicate the same performance as he did in the past one.

Mohammed Salisu struggled in his early days with the Saints but has become an important figure in Ralph Hassenhuttle's team and featured regularly for the club.
The 23-year-old made 34 appearances for the south coast side starting in all but one. Salisu managed six clean sheets with Southampton in the league last season and has been linked with a move to Manchester City.
