The Ghana Football Association have launched the second edition of the KGL U-17 Inter-club Champions League.
The tournament which was re-introduced last year after years of absence will begin on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at the Madina AstroTurf in Accra.
Twelve teams will be competing for the ultimate prize and will receive jerseys, bibs, colts and 20 footballs each as part of the agreement with KGL Group & Foundation.
The winner of the competition takes home GHC 20,000 with the runner-up pocketing GHC10,000. Third and fourth-placed teams will get GHC 5,000 and GHC 3,000 respectively.
Referees from the "Catch Them Young" project will officiate the 30 matches.
"If we fix the fundamentals, the very foundation of our sport which is the grassroots football, I have no doubt in my mind how the future will be like for now senior national teams," Ghana Football Association president, Kurt Okraku said at the event.
KGL sponsorship lasts for the next four years, having signed an agreement with the Ghana Football Association in 2021.
