Non-banking financial institution, Sinapi Aba Savings and Loans has won three awards at the 2022 Ghana Micro Finance Institutions Network (GHAMFIN) awards.
Most Gender Focused Micro-Finance Institution (MFI), Socially Responsible Institution and Contribution towards sanitation program in Ghana, were the three categories the financial institution topped.
The awards are meant to recognise the contributions of member institutions towards building a resilient financial and non-financial environment for the country to thrive.
This year's event was under the theme," Enhancing Non-Banks Excellence and Credibility During Disruptive Periods".
Executive Director or GHAMFIN, Yaw Gyamfi, said the annual event will also encourage non-performing institutions within that space to improve their operations.
Chief Programmes Officer for Sinapi Aba Savings and Loans, Joyce Owusu-Dabo iterated that the company won because it focuses on transforming SMEs in innovative ways that work well for women, generate significant employment, and are sustainable for a financial institution.
