Since the government announced that Ghana would be going to the IMF following an economic crisis, there have been many conversations about the programme the country would go for.
On September 26, an International Monetary Fund (IMF) staff team, led by Stéphane Roudet, Mission Chief for Ghana, reportedly arrived in Accra to continue discussions with government on policies and reforms that could be supported by a Fund lending arrangement.
Today on Newsfile, the host Emefa Apawu and the guests will discuss Ghana’s bid to secure a “historic” agreement.
Also, Civil Society Groups, IMANI Africa and Africa Center for Energy Policy (ACEP) have alleged that Ghana buys gas for 95.8 million dollars and sells to Genser for 43.5 million dollars accounting for a $1.5 billion financial loss to the state.
Newsfile will discuss the deal and allegations levelled against the state.
