The Ernest Egyir Foundation has awarded scholarships to eight needy but brilliant students, including the smart Richard Oppong who had 7As in 2022 WASSCE.
The beneficiaries are pursuing various courses at the University of Cape Coast, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and University of Ghana.
This latest round of scholarship awards brings to 28 the total number of beneficiaries on the foundation’s University Scholarship Project.
According to the Founder and CEO of the Foundation, Ernest De-Graft Egyir, the foundation is his way of showing gratitude to God for His mercies and giving back to the society as his social responsibility.
Mr. Egyir, who is also the Founder and CEO of the Ghana CEO Network, believes that “everybody has a role to play to make the world a better place”.
"It is his expectation that the contributions being made by the foundation will enrich lives, produce scholars and raise leaders".
Ernest Egyir Foundation is a registered nonprofit charity organisation committed to providing support for underprivileged people. The foundation, which is a social responsibility commitment of the founder, provides financial aid to brilliant but needy university students from matriculation to graduation in various accredited tertiary institutions of Ghana.
Further, the Foundation’s Saltpond Skills Apprenticeship finances apprenticeship programmes for selected youth from Mfantseman in the Central Region of Ghana.
This programme equips beneficiaries with vocational skills for a better future.
