The former Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) boss, Kojo Bonsu, has said that the New Patriotic Party has mishandled Ghana as a country.
He said this on Prime Morning on Wednesday during a conversation with Roselyn Felli.
According to him, the Akuffo-Addo-led government has made Ghanaians worse off with its policies and programmes.
"The NPP has come to mess this country up." For this reason, he said, "There’s no way I’ll give any good rating to NPP."
But he commended former President John Agyekum Kufuor for the work he did during his tenure in office by uniting the people.
Kojo Bonsu is of the opinion that the Nana Addo-led administration has remained adamant in giving a listening ear to the citizens.
"Ghana has become so divisive, especially under this government. Nothing is going on well. They don’t listen to what the public is saying, and what they should note is that the power of the people is very strong," he said.
He further revealed that the challenges he had with the Manhyia Palace as the KMA boss resulted from a plot by some NPP members.
According to him, the NPP created the problems to conquer the fear of not getting votes in the Ashanti region while he was the mayor.
He said, "The issues were created by my opponents, and it was unnecessarily done. The opponent obviously is the NPP."
Meanwhile, he has urged all NDC members to unite and “kick” the NPP out of power come 2024.
