Headline sponsors of the Women's Premier League, Malta Guinness, on January 25, 2023, rewarded individuals in the top flight for their performances in the first phase of the season.
The awards session was part of a media event which was organised ahead of the resumption of the league this weekend across the Southern and Northern zones.
Malta Guiness' initiative to award the individuals is in fulfilment of their commitment to setting up a monthly award as part of their partnership with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) prior to the start of the season.
The monthly award seeks to honour selected players and coaches for their stellar outings each month.
Ampem Darkoa duo, Nana Joe Adarkwa and Ophelia Serwaa won cash prizes and goody bags from the beverage brand for their contribution in the month of November.

Hasaacas Ladies' head coach, Yusif Basigi, received the prize for the best coach in the month of October while Dreamz Ladies' Stella Nyamekye received hers as the best player for the said month as well.
On the awards, the Marketing Manager of Malta Guinness, Dinah Adu-Asare, said, “We aim to inspire a world of good at all times as a business. We believe rewarding coaches and players of the Malta Guinness Premier League for their outstanding performance will go a long way to drive excellence. We remain confident that as we go into the second phase of the league, we will see more exciting play and results.”
Prior to the break, the Malta Guinness Women's League has reached matchday 7, with the current champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies leading the table in the Northern Zone with 16 points and former champions Hasaacas Ladies leading the Southern Zone table also with 16 points.
