Dedicated to projecting Ghana’s tourism, arts and culture, ‘Showbiz A-Z’, the country’s most authoritative entertainment magazine programme, makes a stop at Afadjato, one of the iconic tourist sites in the Volta Region.
The programme which airs on Joy 99.7FM on Saturdays from 2pm to 6pm, will on March 11, 2023, explore the tourism potentials of the Volta Region as well as assess the fortunes Mountain Afadjato has brought to the region.
This is part of Joy FM’s Ghana Month activities to promote Ghana’s culture and heritage in March, the month of Ghana’s independence.
After a successful edition of the outdoor programme in Cape Coast in 2021, there was a encore in Kumasi where the team discovered Asanteman’s rich tourist centres and culture.
Mount Afadja, known as Afadjato to the Ewe people of Ghana and Togo, is one of the highest mountains in Ghana. It is in the Afadjato South District and Hohoe Municipality.
The Lead Producer for 'Showbiz A-Z' and Head of Production for Joy Entertainment, Philip Nai, said this year’s edition promises to be more exciting and educative as his team seeks to bring to bear the show’s progressive discussions on the tourist site.
The programme will host some dignitaries form the region’s tourism, arts and culture sector.
Some panel members of the Showbiz A-Z will also join in a discussion that throws the spotlight on the region and its treasures.
The show will broadcast live on Joy 99.7 FM from the foot of Mount Afadja.
It will also be live on Joy FM’s Facebook page.
