Barely a year after earning recognition in the mainstream music scene in Ghana, TsaQa has made remarkable strides in his career.
After gracing about two dozens of musical shows during the Yuletide in 2022, the energetic performer has been nominated at this year’s Ghana Music Awards Europe.
TsaQa will be contesting for the crown in the ‘New Artiste of the Year’ category at the Jimray Ghana Music Awards – Europe, set to take place in Dusseldorf, Germany later this year.
He faces competition from Lasmid, DJ Azonto, Chief One, Perez Muzik, Efia Odo, TsaQa, Efe Grace, Mishasha, Vanilla, Nautyca, and the Asakaa Boys.
After the launch of the awards show at the AH Café in Labone on March 1, he told Joy Entertainment, “I may look calm now, but deep down I am super excited. I am honoured that my hard work in less than a year since joining Hitzmuzic Record Label, has been realized and blessed. It’ll be more than a blessing if I win this award”.
This is TsaQa’s very first award nomination in his promising musical journey.
The obviously elated young musician detailed what it means to him. “Honestly I never thought about awards, but this is humbling, to know that my first-ever award is an international one”.
TsaQa caught the attention of music fans after his hit single Onaapo went viral. He quickly followed it up with the release of Accra Funfooler, whose remix features Medikal, Yaw TOG and Quamina MP.
The video which was released on January 28, has so far garnered over 60 thousand views on YouTube.
Upon mounting numerous musical shows and registering his style in the minds of fans and music stakeholders, many have tipped him for greatness and longevity, including Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz host Andy Dosty.
