New Crystal Health Services a leading healthcare service provider in the country partners with the Zongo community in Ashaiman to organise a blood donation exercise to help replenish the national blood bank.
The event which took place at the premises of Ashaiman Central Mosque had over 100 participants who went through basic health checks and counselling before donating blood to help save lives.

Sebbie Abednego Tetteh, the Marketing Manager of the company said the exercise forms part of a series of Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives they will undertake this year in celebrating their 20 years of providing high-quality and affordable healthcare to its cherished clients.
“At New Crystal Hospital, our aim is to grow together in good health with our cherished clients and communities.
"We believe that this exercise will encourage voluntary blood donation from the public which will help reduce drastically maternal mortality since the loss of blood is a contributing factor,” he said.

Alhaji Muhammed, the youth chief at the office of Sarkin Musulmi of the Tema-Ashaiman Traditional Council who also donated blood at the event used the opportunity to thank all donors for their life-saving gesture.
“We believe this will continue to offer a steady supply of what hospitals and other healthcare institutions need to save the lives of patients within the municipality,” he said.
