A Special Aide to former President John Mahama has criticised supporters of Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for allegedly politicising the enskinment of the new Yagbonwura.
According to Joyce Bawah Morgtari, their conduct is disrespectful to the people of Gonjaland.
In a tweet on Friday, March 24, she said this could jeopardise the harmonious relationship between the people.
The cheap attempt by VP Bawumia's supporters to unnecessarily politicize an important tradition that must be devoid of politics, was disrespectful to the people of Gonjaland. The council of chiefs must condemn it and warn against any future attempts to politicize such activities.

She has thus asked the Council of Chiefs to condemn this move.
“The cheap attempt by VP Bawumia's supporters to unnecessarily politicize an important tradition that must be devoid of politics was disrespectful to the people of Gonjaland.
“The council of chiefs must condemn it and warn against any future attempts to politicize such activities,” she tweeted.
In a video posted on social media by Koku Anyidoho, there are scenes of hooting at former President John Dramani Mahama.
However, the leadership of the Savannah Regional National Democratic Congress (NDC) has rejected the claim.
In a press release issued by the Savannah Regional NDC, the party said Mr Koku Anyidoho is doing the bidding of Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
“We have taken notice of a video circulated by Koku Anyidoho on behalf of the Bawumia-led faction of the NPP.
“The video and narration sought to create an impression that former President John Mahama was booed by his own tribesmen at the outdooring of our new Yagbonwura in Damongo on Tuesday,” excerpts of the statement said.
