A 30-year-old man has been beaten to death at Sefwi Ahibenso in the Bodi District of the Western North Region.
Kwadwo Afful, who reportedly sold marijuana (weed), failed to render sales to his boss who had given him the drug to sell.
A report by Adom News revealed that some men in his boss’ circle ganged up on the deceased, subjecting him to severe beatings and leaving his lifeless body on the street of Ahibenso.
Confirming the sad incident to Adom News, the grandfather of Kwadwo Afful, Daniel Kwasi Tawiah explained that he saw a crowd on the street and he proceeded to check what it was about only to find out what had happened to his grandchild.
Mr Tawiah said he immediately informed the police at Bodi who later picked up his grandchild’s body and deposited it at the Juaboso Government Hospital morgue pending investigations.Â
A resident, who spoke to AdomNews, appealed to the police to arrest the suspects and help bring justice to the family.
He said the arrest and subsequent prosecution will reduce the spate of lawlessness in the area. The suspects are currently at large.
