Three hundred and ten (310) undergraduate students have graduated from the School of Law, Medical School and the School of Biomedical and Allied Health Sciences at the University of Ghana.
The congregation took place at the institution's Great Hall on August 19, 2023 where the elated students donned their graduation gowns and caps to receive their hard-earned degrees.
It was graced by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, who delivered an inspiring address to the graduating cohort.
The event marked the first congregation ceremony for the 2022/2023 cohort of students, representing a diverse range of academic disciplines.
Prof. Appiah Amfo expressed her warm welcome to the attendees, including the graduates, their families, and faculty members.

Highlighting the significance of the occasion, the Vice-Chancellor shared that this ceremony was the inaugural installment in a series of gatherings.
The University is preparing to host another congregation ceremony in January 2024, which will recognize the achievements of both undergraduate and postgraduate students across various disciplines within the University's four colleges and the School of Graduate Studies.

The joyous event was attended by proud families, friends, and faculty members, all gathered to applaud the graduates for their remarkable achievements.
The Vice-Chancellor commended the dedication, perseverance, and hard work demonstrated by the graduates.
"The path to your graduation today may have come with challenges, yet you have triumphed. Today, as you officially conclude this chapter of your journey and step into the next, we salute your resilience and dedication," she said.
"As you go out to make your mark in the world, I urge you all to raise high the bar of excellence, and always proceed in truth and integrity to make the University of Ghana proud."
As the ceremony concluded, the University of Ghana not only celebrated the academic accomplishments of its graduates but also reinforced its commitment to providing a holistic education that equips students with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their respective fields.
The proud graduates, having completed their programs of study, left the ceremony ready to embark on new journeys with the confidence instilled in them by the University of Ghana's commitment to excellence.

Valedictorian Abigail Nakuor Wowolo, a First Class scholar achieved a final grade point average of 3.72.
Addressing the gathering, Ms. Wowolo explained her academic journey showcasing her exceptional abilities, notably emerging as the Overall Best Student in crucial subjects including Literature, Christian Religious Studies, and Government during her inaugural year.
Her prowess continued to shine in subsequent years as she secured the titles of Best English and General Arts Student in her second year, and Best Student in Literature in her third year.
However, Abigail Nakuor Wowolo's accomplishments are not limited to academics alone. She embodies the essence of a well-rounded student, embodying the principles of the "4Hs": hardworking, honest, humble, and helpful.
This comprehensive approach to education and personal growth makes her a role model for her peers and a testament to the possibilities of dedication and determination.
