Standard Liege Sporting director, Fergal Harkin, is optimistic Kamal Sowah will improve the club after arriving on loan.
The Ghanaian winger joined Liege on a short-term deal, signing a contract on loan until the end of the 2023/24 season. He joins from rivals Club Brugge.
At his new club, the 23-year-old will be playing under former boss Carl Hoefkens, who he worked with during his time at Brugge.
Sowah struggled in the second of the 2022/23 season and lost his place in the team but Liege are confident his experience in the Jupiler Pro League will help the team.
"Kamal will strengthen our offensive sector and sharpen competition within our group. His experience in the Belgian competition, his technical and physical qualities, his speed and his depth will be additional assets for our team," he said.
The Black Stars forward played 27 times for Brugge and scored four goals last season. He also contributed two goals in seven UEFA Champions League appearances.
