Ernest Nuamah scored and provided an assist as Ghana picked a comfortable 3-1 win over Liberia in an international friendly at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday evening.
The first period of the game was without goals, with the best chance of the half falling to Antoine Semenyo.
The Bournemouth forward picked the ball from his half with the Liberia keeper way off his line. The 23-year-old pushed the ball all the way to the opposition box, giving away a goal kick when he had the option of attempting a shot from distance.
Ernest Nuamah opened the scoring for the Black Stars with a fantastic half-volley after taking down a brilliantly lobbed pass in the 52nd minute.
That is his second goal for Ghana after scoring his debut goal for the Black Stars in the 2-1 win over the Central African Republic on Thursday.
Seven minutes later, Mohammed Kudus added the second from a Nuamah pass after showing awareness to take down an air ball.
Kudus brought down the ball with his chest, and got past a defender before firing into the net.
Jordan Ayew wrapped up the scoring for Ghana with his 20th international goal for the Black Stars in the 82nd minute. It was a second-time finish after his initial attempt was stopped.
Divine Teah scored the consolation for the Lone Stars in the 90th minute after poor defending from Ghana.
The Black Stars will now turn their attention to the October friendlies against the United States and Mexico.
