Vice-President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has expressed strong confidence in his ability to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to victory in the 2024 elections.
He conveyed this message during an interaction with the media at his residence in Accra ahead of the NPP's flagbearer election.
Dr. Bawumia emphasized his extensive engagement with party delegates across the country, stating that he believes he represents the NPP's best chance at securing victory in the upcoming presidential election.
He reiterated key points of his campaign message, highlighting his longstanding dedication to the party, his pivotal role in the 2012 election petition, and his contributions as Vice President.
Dr. Bawumia also stressed his commitment to party unity and called for a respectful and inclusive campaign. He expressed his determination to bring all party members together, emphasizing the importance of a united front.
“By the grace of God, l have brought my campaign, the visits to the NPP delegates in their constituencies to an end. Every constituency has been a home for me for the past 15 years, and for this particular campaign, my mission was simple; to let the delegates know why I represent the NPP’s best chance of breaking the 8 in next year’s presidential election if I am elected the party’s flagbearer,” Dr. Bawumia said.
In the upcoming election, Dr. Bawumia will be competing against Francis Addai-Nimoh, Kennedy Agyapong, and Dr. Owusu Akoto Afriyie.
