A former Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Peter Mac Manu says the party is not dealing with any internal conflict.
His comments was in response to claims by the former Chief of Staff, Kwadwo Pianim that the party had internal issues the leadership had turned a blind eye to.
Peter Mac Manu insists there were no issues adding that “I wish the former Chief of Staff specifically said what is wrong with the NPP. The NPP is an institution, and I don’t think in this world that we live, it does not have any problem within.”
He continued that "he [Kwadwo Mpiani] should be open with specifics. I would have wished that he would have made it specific then we can go into it to reform or make recommendations to patch up things."

On the back of this, he explained that the party might appear to be divided because it was a competitive season as many of its stalwarts were competing for the flagbearer position.
However, he was optimistic that after the elections there would be unity.
Again, he added that like any institution, there was bound to be internal conflict for which reason the party reviewed its activities and operations to correct what might have gone wrong.
